The star of The 100: Houston actress Lindsey Morgan and her career

The profession of an actor is considered one of the most widespread and popular in modern society. However, this leads to a decrease in its value. We can rarely find truly great or natural actors. Thus, the audience is left with acting that does not deserve the Oscars.

At the same time, quite a significant number of talented celebrities dreamed of such a career from early childhood. They recite poems to their parents and participate in school theaters. Lindsey Morgan is an example of just such an actress who knew from an early age what profession she would choose in the future.

How did the Houston actress grow up? Why did she choose this particular life path? In which films or series did she star? Houstonski tells you everything.

Childhood in a large family

Lindsey Marie Morgan was born on February 27, 1990, near Houston, Texas. She is of half-Mexican and half-Irish descent. Lindsey grew up in a large family with her mother, father, older brother and six more step-siblings. They lived quite friendly and united but Morgan was one of the most shy children in her early years.

However, during her school years, Lindsey became a very sociable and active child. She participated in all events and holidays, boldly went on stage and attracted a lot of attention. Consequently, she often appeared in school plays and productions, gradually instilling a love for acting and the stage. After finishing school, she firmly knew which college she would enter.

For a while, the girl was even a member of a small film community in Houston. After entering the University of Texas at Austin, Lindsey studied acting hard and dreamed of getting her first movie role as soon as possible.

During her studies, the girl worked as a model to earn a living and develop her skills. At first, she appeared only on advertising cards and later starred in commercials.

However, she did not get any roles and starred in mass productions only. Therefore, after receiving the diploma, Morgan moved to Los Angeles dreaming of a successful career.

Filming in The 100 TV series

After moving, Lindsey started getting roles pretty quickly. Although they can be considered small and insignificant, she was happy with this chance to stand out. She appeared in the films and series B-Sides, Supah Ninjas and A Thin Line.

Only in 2011, the actress got her first main role in the MTV movie DisCONNECTED. In 2012, Morgan was lucky enough to get the main role in the General Hospital TV series. It made the actress popular and recognized in the USA.

In 2014, the science fiction series The 100 started and became very popular among teenagers and young adults. Lindsey got the role of a mechanic girl named Raven Reyes. In the first seasons, the role was not the main one. However, later she became the central character.

Lindsey shared that filming in this unusual series was very interesting and the behind-the-scenes life of the actors was true fun. During the work, Morgan and her colleagues lived in trailers and moved very often. There were particular difficulties in choosing costumes and applying make-up. According to the plot, the characters did not have the opportunity to take a shower and change clothes every day, so the developers tried to convey this staleness with the help of crumpled things and smeared makeup. Also, Lindsey didn’t have the proper suit for a long time in the first season, which also caused a lot of fun on the set. The actors were very friendly with each other and had fun before, during and after work. The series was filmed until 2020.

At the same time, the actress appeared in several films, such as Lasso (2018), Summer Days, Summer Nights (2018), Inside Game (2019) and others.
